A FEW OF MY FAVORITES....

Sometimes the not so dirty bad words are way better to use as insults. Ya know, the ones our grandparents would shout out at bad drivers when we were in the car with them?? The ones our parents used when we were around and they discovered that basement was flooded? The ones the bus driver would yell at you on the way home from school? The ones your friends taught you?

Lets go thru this together shall we??

The following are my favorites not so bad, but oh so bad words-

CHUMP- Cmon, dont you think of a chubby squat retard when you hear this word?

NUMB SKULL- My mom used to say this one a lot. So freakinng funny.

KNUCKLE HEAD- Enough said

PANSY- Oh my gosh, so good.

BUTT MUNCH- Crunch and Munch times 12

ASS WIPE- I still love this one. Seriously, ass wipe? Amazing.

HO BAG- I still love this word. I call my sister this sometimes, just for fun.

BOZO- The end all of insults. When used on a man it hurts.

CREEP- I use this one all the time. It can be pretty searing. Its hard to find a replacement for this one. So clean, yet so good.

DIP SHIT- Just say it out loud.

DORK- Well this one hurts a bit because, I am, a dork.

DWEEB- A nerdier dork.

PUNK- One of my personal faves. Calling someone a punk is so much fun.

SPAZZ- My mom used to say this one a lot too. For the uncoordinated, of course.

TOOL- I think this ones the ultimate. If a dude is called a tool, he should kill himself.

WUSS- You know what im thinking.

SOMETIMES...

There's a reason for everything.

Sometimes I'm not exactly sure what the reasons are...

Sometimes I lag..

Sometimes I leave returns in my car for way too long...

Sometimes I say lolz and it makes me cringe...

Sometimes my moments of clarity come to me at the oddest times...

Sometimes my blackberry is my boyfriend...

Sometimes I bowl like a spazz, sometimes I bowl like a pro...

Sometimes people say the wildest things to me-- Things that catch me completely off guard but still make me feel good.

Sometimes I am convinced that I could live off of peanut butter and water...

Sometimes I get defensive for no reason whatsoever...

Sometimes I have shit to blog about, sometimes I don't...

Sometimes I don't delete things that I should...

Sometimes I don't read the newspaper for a whole week and then read I them all on Sunday just to see how long I can last without knowing what's going on in the world...

Sometimes I'm a hopeless romantic, a hard core one..

Sometimes a good scare is what we all need to feel happy and to appreciate the things we lose sight of...

Sometimes I wish I trusted people more...

Sometimes my blackberry short circuits and deletes everything it really pisses me off...

Sometimes I feel so happy I can cry....

Sometimes I feel so sad, I can laugh...

Sometimes I wonder why anyone reads my blog of nonsense...

HAPPY HAPPY..

Happy Hanukah and Merry Christmas to my fellow readers!!

I hope your holiday is filled with health, wealth, happiness and AMAZING MUSIC. Holiday time can be a tough time for some and a festive time for others. I hope that you all find it to be the better of the 2. Thankfully, I get to see my family all the time, but I think its real sweet watching everyone prepare to travel for the holidays to be reunited with family members.

Im in love with this song that L put on my mix. Great sad holiday song. MICK JAGGGER is a music gd and JOSS STONE has a set of lungs. For all of you feeling bummed or a sense of loss, heres one for you.

Lonely Without You (This Christmas) - Mick Jagger and Joss Stone

J got me the sweetest holiday gift. An adorable MAC compact with 3 lip glosses. Loves you. I mean, who doesnt love getting presents? Receiving gifts is a lot of fun but I also love buying gifts for people whom I am close with.

While I was driving today into the city, there was a smell of wood burning in the air, the yummiest of smells out there second to freshly cut grass. I wish I had a fireplace. Winter is here and all I want to do is sit in front of a cozy warm fireplace with good company. How corny am I? Note to self, next home one day, MUST have a fireplace.

Today while walking in the city, I slipped on a huge sheet of ice and nearly went flying. I caught myself tho, pheww. I was not able to avoid that look of terror in my face, you know the look of doom that everyone gets when they are about to take a spill? It was pretty embarrassing. A man passing by saw, ugh, horrifying, and said "nice save" I thanked him wishing he didnt see.

Cant have it all, right?

SIDE NOTE - BEST ALBUMS

N, pointed out to me that AA BONDY is not an 08 album. I guess I was mistaken. But because, I first started listening to him in 08, im leaving him up anyway. My blog, my rules, haha... Thanks N.

I also forgot to include PHANTOM PLANETS new album RAiSE THE DEAD to my top list. Great great album. LEADER is my favorite track along with QUARANTINE and DO THE PANIC. Ill always have a soft spot in my heart for these guys just because they are a part of my younger years. Their sound has progressively matured into a fine finished product.

I hope you guys download some of the music I listed below. I think there are some really great tunes mentioned. Id love to hear what you think..

THE BEST OF 2008

Here we go, my lovelies. Here are my top picks for the best ALBUMS OF 2008!!!

Everyone has their faves, but as you know, my faves are the only ones that count. Hahaha. Not Jk.

Shall we?? These are in no particular order by the way..

***** BEST ALBUMS OF 2008 *******

BON IVER- FOR EMMA, FOREVER AGO-
This mans voice is so soothing and beautiful. His music establishes a mood right off the bat. Great instrumentals. Great lyrics. Favorite tracks of mine, FOR EMMA, SKINNY LOVE, THE WOLVES and BLINDSIDED. Just a well rounded cohesive album in my opinion. I can play SKINNY LOVE on my ukulele. SO yeah +2 points! ANND the album was recorded in a log cabin. Does it getting anymore raw than that?

AA BONDY- AMERICAN HEARTS-
ANother very talented set of vocal chords. This year I have embraced a ton of folk music. Bondys tunes are so heartfelt and thought provoking. He definitely brings that soulful religious element to the table which might not be for everyone. But to me, his album flows well, gets you thinking about current events and relationships. His raspy voice is oh so sexy too. AMERICAN HEARTS, THERES A REASON, RAPTURE, hell all of them are amazing.

MGMT- ORACLE SPECTACULAR-
Standing ovation on this one. This band kinda makes you want to hate them because of their wacky style that seems so overdone. Neon, sweatbands etc.. But wow, this album crosses over seamlessly to main streamer top 40 fans while keeping us elitists interested and wanting more.. How tacky did that just sound?? Insert barf there. I cant even tell you how many people heard KIDS in my car and became obsessed with that "weird band" They became the signature summer pool party, any party band. TIME TO PRETEND is right behind KIDS with ELECTRIC FEEL right up there too. Great great electro band! Just so upbeat. Great great album. Oh, and, brooklyn peeps. REPRESENT!!

COLDPLAY- VIVA LA VIDA-
Thats right, while we are talking mainstream, lets do this. Although I dont particularly care for MARTINS writing, lyrics wise, I really enjoyed this album and continue to play it. LOST is one of my favorite tracks, especially the acoustic version of it. The chanting vibe throughout was a nice addition to the album, something new and refreshing for coldplay. LOVERS IN JAPAN is another favorite of mine. In all honesty, I can listen to this album straight through. Two words- BRIAN ENO.

OKKERVIL RIVER- THE STAND-INS-
WIL SHEFF. Genius. Talented. I absolutely love this album. I loved seeing them live. He keeps raising the bar with each album e releases. This last one dealing with a bit more heartbreak than the others. He gets into it. Really deep, leaving us feeling his words. Searing and real. His voice is just amazing. Living up to his reputation, he has a way of making fun of himself as well which cuts the tension just when you think youre feeling it a bit too much. But then again he has quite a few upbeat songs, a perfect mix. I love this album. Love love love. I wish I could pick my favorite tracks, but I cant because they are ALL so great. But here- LOST COASTLINES, ON TOUR WITH ZYKOS, POP LIE, CALLING AND NOT CALLING MY EX.

CONOR OBERST AND THE MYSTIC VALLEY BAND- CONOR OBERST-
I really dont need to torture you all again on this one. I gave a really lengthly review on this album back in the summer. Yes, I love CO, No, he can do no wrong in my eyes, well not really, but I just really love this album. Recorded in Mexico, refreshing new sound, soothing, centered and festive at times.

SHE & HIM- VOLUME I-
The most adorable FOLK record of the year. Love ZOOEY DESCHANEL and M WARD so how can this one be a flop? So sweet and heartbreaking. So easy to listen to with a very retro sound to it. Her voice is playful and multi layered. He brings his deep even voice to the table, perfectly blending the two into a masterpiece. The harmonies are delicious and catchy. Her writing is so relatable. You almost feel like youre reading her diary. They kind of remind me of LINDA AND RICHARD THOMPSON, funny how I read that someone else felt the same way!

FLEET FOXES- FLEET FOXES-
Great album. Great vocals. This SEATTLE based band has a formula. There are no lead singers in this band. A heavily harmonic album. Lending a very psychedelic vibe. A beautiful work. My favorite track on this album is WHITE WINTER HYMNAL. Beautiful progression, layered so nicely. These guys made a conscious decision to write and structure their songs however they felt like, abandoning usual song structure, and surprisingly it worked out really well. This album might not be for everyone, but definitely deserves a listen. SUN IT RISES and OLIVER JAMES are really good too. YOUR PROTECTOR, great too.

TV ON THE RADIO- DEAR SCIENCE-
I love when an album starts off with an amazing track that sucks you right in. Wow, does this album ever. HALFWAY HOME does just that. Pumps you up, has a bit of a RAMONES feel during the first few seconds, and then slowly spreads out into an amazing joyride. The albums continues to wow throughout. These guys have come a long way. Im not going to lie, I didnt see this on coming AT ALL. They had fly by night potential, but TVOTR lets us know that they dont plan on going anywhere but up. Well done.

THE KILLS- MIDNIGHT BOOM-
I love this duo. Great album. Great tracks and instrumentals. So raw and hot. These two are the picture of rock and roll. Sexy, in your face, dont give a shit filth. Hands down amazing album. Even better live. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE TRACK. For real. URA FEVER starts the album off with a boom, pardon the pun! CHEEP AND CHEERFUL, great anthem. BLACK BALLOON, a nice wind down track. This album is perfection. Seamless, flowing, gripping and chilling. Establishes a mood and keeps you interested til the very end. Impossible not to like these guys.

MATES OF STATE- RE-ARRANGE US-
This husband and wife duo deliver a great album. Catchy tracks with lyrics that are impressive all the while remaining light and fun. Their songs are the type that put you in a great head. The kind that you like to play on repeat over and over again, then hum them when youre not listening to them.

MY MORNING JACKET- EVIL URGES-
MMJ is a must have for every music collection. Alternative country rock at its best. Easy listening. Flows nicely. JIM JAMES has a very distinctive voice. Easily recognizable. Country vibe and WILCO like, so im partial. Nice accompaniments. SEC WALKIN is a great track. Great harmonies. With a song called, TOUCH ME IM GOING TO SCREAM.... How can one resist?! LOOK AT YOU is a sweet romantic track. TWO HALVES is a nice reflective track. Might actually be my favorite track on the record. REMNANTS and SMOKIN FROM SHOOTIN are excellent as well. Its nice to see them branching out and embracing new styles while staying true to their sound.

THE RACONTEURS- CONSOLERS OF THE LONELY-
JACK WHITE and BRENDEN BENSON are a great team. The album is gritty rock and roll with some pop accents. SALUTE YOUR SOLUTION is a great track along with many others. I finally see them as an established band as opposed to a fun side project. Their sound is lively with great garage rock infusion. Check out THESE STONES SHOOT. CAROLINA DRAMA brings the album to a nice close.

DEERHUNTER- MICROCASTLE-
This band is that band that always own up to their end of the deal. Theyre tracks are infamous for their momentum and wide vocal range. Each track is as refreshing as the last. Heavy on the electronic instrumentals yet their tracks never suffer from it, which is rare. TWILIGHT AT CARBON LAKE is an eerie track but manages to keep you interested til the very end. Im a big fan of ATLAS SOUND, btw, BRADFORD COX's electro side project.

****HONORABLE MENTIONS******

THE HOLD STEADY- STAY POSITIVE-
Keep the hating at bay. I know most people see this as one of the best of all time. Im putting them on here because I just havent given them enough play time to fall in love. Its at the top of this list. I like what Ive heard. Im just not sure that theyre all theyre love is happening. I like to feel it early on in.

KINGS OF LEON- ONLY BY THE NIGHT-
SEX IS FIRE rocks my world. Yes, this song is pure sex. Love the guitar, bass, the whole thing. Yum. The rest of the album is really good too. I just wasnt "wowwed" by the whole album as much as I expected to be. They are always a favorite though.

BECK- MODERN GUILT-
Loved CHEMTRAILS, Smooth psych like track. Almost a bit haunted. Great instrumentals. Good album. Ethereal. Something new by someone not so new to the scene.

LITTLE JOY-LITTLE JOY-
FABRIZIO MORETTI'S (of THE STROKES) side project. A fun playful album. The type that you can listen to all the way thru while sitting by the pool on a hot sunny day kicking back a few. That was the first thing that came to mind when I heard the first 20 seconds of the album. Summer day. Pina Colada style. Almost in the SHE & HIM realm. Something our parents wouldnt be opposed to listening to either while entertaining.

VAMPIRE WEEKEND- VAMPIRE WEEKEND-
I loved these guys when they first came out. Sadly, I tired of them easily. No need to worry about them, they hit mainstream pretty fast. Definitely noteworthy of an honorable mention.

BLACK KIDS- PARTIE TRAUMATIC-
A fun florida based band. Silly, playful and just out there. Fun lyrics, great stage presence. A little something to get your ass moving.

DEATHCAB FOR CUTIE- NARROW STAIRS-
Gibbard does what he does best. Sad, melancholy beauty.

SANTOGOLD- SANTOGOLD-
Rap meets Electro. Fun. Refreshing. Catchy.

GIRL TALK- FEED THE ANIMALS-
A mix of everything mashed into one album. Electro, funk, pop and rap. A nice parcel with a red ribbon.

SOCIALIZATION

Yesterday was a very social day which was big for me. I love hanging with friends and catching up with them. Sadly, I dont get to do it very often because school is always there to suck up every waking moment of mine.

It was my real first free day since being liberated. Met up with R and we headed uptown to celebrate A's birthday over lunch with a bunch of people. Im starting to realize that ive become somewhat socially awkward since enrolling in school. The trivial things that I once lived for, have been put on the back burner. They've been traded in for long hours of homework and talk of elevations, visual concepts and '09 class schedules. It was nice to see everyone and catch up though.

SIDE NOTE- R hates my music. It hurts my feelings. The only crap she listens to is like workout stuff. I always get a comment when she gets in my car. I asked her to make me a cheesy CD so that when shes in my car, she will be happy. She likes club music. I can tolerate it. The things we do for our friends... Lately shes been hilarious so I dont mind enduring house music for her.

Last night I went to see CSS with a bunch of friends. We had a blast. Wow, they really put on a show. Costumes, balloons, lights, the whole nine. At one point they even came off of the stage and started dancing with the crowd. Twas cute and strange.

Afterwards we went out for drinks and french fries. Saw ADRIEN GRENIER again! Was dying to relive the wine story from the other night but opted not to. I hate people that walk over to celebrities and hound them while theyre trying to enjoy their meal. So rude. My friends were star struck, I was kinda eh. They did enough staring to last a lifetime. N was great company last night. Hes one of those upbeat happy people. He also says the nicest things, well, most of the time anyway, ahemm, I know youre reading. We also had a newbie which always spices things up.

I was telling E how much I loved this one piece at ART BASEL. I am obsessed with feathers and this piece was mind blowing. I mentioned the artists name, REBECCA HORN, and she knew the exact one I was talking about. I want it. She said, "sure, for two hundred grand and its all yours" I said, "yeah, not this year with the economy and all" I asked her to buy it for me for Hanukah. Maybe she will, Im thinking no, though..

Maybe you can all chip it and send it to me.

How hot is this??

SOMETIMES...

Sometimes I psych myself out something crazy only to find that things are just fine...

Sometimes D surprises me with how cool she can be. IE yesterdays message, saying "Its gorgeous out, lets go for drinks" Instead we went to target and did Hannukah shopping with my niece...

Sometimes I can watch the same clip over and over and laugh my ass off even more with each viewing...

Sometimes our president needs to have shoes thrown at him, just to make sure he knows whats up...

Sometimes someone knocks your dates glass of wine out of his hand spilling it all over ADRIEN GRENIER and the convo doesnt go as smoothly as planned...

Sometimes people put their foot in their mouth and watching them squirm is oh- so rewarding. Other times its just painful to watch...

Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off - causing them to become worse..

Sometimes I wonder if everything really does happen for a reason..

Sometimes people from my past suddenly appear, triggering weird emotions..

Sometimes one good heart to heart is all it takes to feel centered again...

Sometimes you make the list, sometimes you dont...

Sometimes I wish I could stay in bed alll dayyy longgg.

Sometimes my posts are boring...

GOODNIGHT MOON..

I have 4 words for you.

THE MOON LAST NIGHT. It was the biggest full moon in 15 years,

Wow. So, yeah.

Anywhoo, THE BIGGEST LOSER had me crying my eyes out last night. Together now-- EMO...

Friday nights in my world usually consist of family bonding and playful taunting of one another. Its a real good time.

Once everyone goes to bed, my mom and I watch our favorite tv shows that were recorded throughout the week. We have this unspoken pact between us. Its understood that we do not watch these shows without each other, and if one of us by chance slips up, we watch it again anyway. Its really cute, probably juvenile and weird in a way, but who cares. Thats how we roll and I wouldnt trade it in for anything. I guess you can say that we bond over tv.

Yes, we are both Libras. Yes, we love to watch intense obscure films and tear jerking reality TV together.
Yes, we are rooting for Michelle to win..

Ill be posting my best albums of 2008 really soon and a bunch of other best/worst lists too. I know, I know, edge of your seat material.com

Leslo, I love you, Im sorry that I havent sent your discs out, I just havent had a sec to sit by my computer for more than 10 minutes at a time. Soon, soon, I promise. Still loving the ones you sent me. Love DCforC xmas songs!

GREETINGS!!

Hello readers and fellow haters! Ive been completely MIA lately because school this week has had me hyperventilating. My last class in on Monday and Im really looking forward to exhaling again. I hate it when the blogs I enjoy reading arent updated regularly, so please dont hate me and understand. K, disclaimer over.

After taking my final this week and acting like a total spazz during the exam, my teacher pulled me aside, and by aside, I mean out in the hallway- to tell me that shes "nervous" about me moving forward. I took that as the "you are sooo screwed" talk. Here I was counting down the days until this killer class was over and done with, and here she was telling me that I was starting all over. If there was one thing that I WAS certain of, it was that I sure as hell wasnt shelling out 2 grand again for this hellish crap again. I explained to her that I always had a problem with test taking even in grade school, but that wasnt going over well. "Meet me in my office tomorrow during office hours, we need to talk"

Enter wha wha wha sound.

My life was over. I was flipping out and something told me that tears werent going to cut it this time. I went home and worked my ass off that night and did the whole test over. I marched my ass right into her office first thing in the AM with my new lease on life (blueprints) in my hands and a full speech, prepared for doom. "I know that youre worried, but please let me assure you, I can do the work, I just dont test well" I said, while I unrolled the prints.. "Its not that I dont think you can do it, I just worry about the time you need" she says, "I mean, you passed the final R______."

"WAIT, WTF did she just say??!! " I thought. Enter the angels singing and the organ playing Hallelujah in my head. "Oh, I know" I said. (Holy shit, I passed? NO! I DIDNT KNOW!!- Im thinking) "I just wanted you to know that Im dedicated to do whatever it takes to show you (and I really was)..... "

"Well" she says, "Im glad you took the time to show me and this will help your grade.." Help my grade? Dude as long as I dont get an F in this class, Im tha-rihilled! "Shall I leave my prints with you?" I ask, "No they look right, you can hang onto those" They look right?! Hell yeah theyre right, and you should take them after I just worked my ass off on em. I dont care if you use them as wee wee pad for your non-existent dog, I wanted to say, but instead I just smiled. I took my little roll of sheets with me and walked out scratching my head. Stoked but kinda bummed that she scared the living daylights out of me. So yeah I spent the whole day and night sweating, crying, nagging and complaining to anyone whod listen, and I passed?? Niiice. What a waste of anti-depressants.

Great story, I know. So thats where Im at. This weekend is going to be killer on me preparing for my final project to turn in on Monday, but after that, Im free for a few weeks. So brace yourselves, Ill be blogging like a beast.

This week was also a very enlightening one. Some lessons learned, some pain inflicted, some gifts received (always fun) and some pounds shed. Cant complain. Im smiling.

In other news, I mysteriously found a walky talkie in my car on the front seat the other day, leading me to believe that I was being followed, or that I was just enrolled in some new reality tv show unbeknownst to me. I had some fun with the buttons and mumbled some code words into it once the feeling in my legs came back. No response. After a closer look, I saw that it belonged to the parking lot that I parked in the other day. I should give it back but I dont really want to, because lets be honest, hasnt everyone always wanted to own a REAL heavy walky talkie that wasnt purchased at TOYS R US?

Yeah, so this post is kinda lame and boring but Im regaining my jous jous. I promise to be better.

Also, lately Ive been getting a lot of howls on the street which always feels super sexy dot not. "Damn girl, that coat is the shyeat" a man said to me the other day on my way to class. "Thank you" I replied.

"Sweetie, whats your name? you just made my day in them boots, thank you and have a great day ,sexy" another bum shot at me. I shot back a wink which looked more like I was having a seizure because, Im not a great winker (wow, the word winker sounds kind of dirty, doesnt it?). He looked confused but still smiled. So.... that was good. Hopefully next week, I can get the gas attendant to flirt with me, and next month- ya never know, maybe even the meter maid (or man whatever theyre called) while he writes out my ticket. Im aiming high, because life is short. Hollerrr.

HEAVEN

I am in heaven right now. Sheer heaven. A long needed getaway. Well overdue. Aside from the fact that they are playing some really obscure hip hop by the pool, all is good by me. So yeah, that why Ive been MIA.

Hope you are all well. Went to see some art yesterday at the convention center, yes, ART BASEL. mhmm, im now outed!

HOLY FREEZING

It is so rewarding to feel like people really enjoy reading my blog. L sent me 3 amazing cds with the sweetest card ever enclosed in the parcel. Thank you momma-loo! (I think I need to make you a little mix. Send me your addy) Im loving it so far, ps!

Ive been toying with the idea of posting my best text of the day in my posts. That is not to say that I wont use crazy discretion and will probably wimp out in posting the REALLY good ones. With that being said, Im just putting it out there. I think Im going to add that feature and see how how it goes...

Last night I had a really fun time. I ended up meeting up with D and just shooting the shit and catching up. We laughed a ton and recorded 7 billion voice notes on our blackberries of us laughing our assess off. Weird I know, but not really. We listened to a ton of old SMASHING PUMPKINS and COUNTING CROWS. Good times with a capital G. Gosh I love listening to music I grew up on in school. Brings back such great memories. Songs do that to me. In listening to some songs, I remember exactly where I was when I first heard them, who my boyfriend was at the time and how I felt, mood wise, when I heard those songs. Memories..

i know I havent been posting too much about music lately. Once I finish this semester, Ill be back with a ton of new tunes for you guys. Part of me, in writing this blog, feels like I need to write a proper write up for a song, artist or album instead of just tossing a song in at the bottom of the page. maybe I need to do just that for now. So here my little chickadees..

THE WRENS- SHE SENDS KISSES a personal old favorite of mine. His voice is delicious..

NOSTALGIA from last night

Ava Adore - The Smashing Pumpkins

Round Here - Counting Crows

THANKS G

Its that time of year again. I love THANKSGIVING! I know for most it marks a time when families gather after not having been in the same room all together in a while and such; but I always am around my fam and nonetheless love it.

I CANT WAIT to have everyone over!!

I plan on getting my corn on in going around the table of 18 asking everyone what theyre thankful for aside from their family and significant others love and whatnot (boring) just to spice things up a bit. Im sure itll be an experience. I love corny exercises like that.. Especially with my family because we are all loony and random!!

Well, anyway-

Here are a bunch of things that Im thankful for-

1. Aveno facial moisturizer, its getting cold out there and this one seems to help my sensitive skin stay dewy and whatever.

2. My amazing friends who put up with me and my flakey-ness and my bossy style in manning the tunes whenever we are in the car.

3. My freedom. On so many different levels.

4. My TWEEZERMAN slanted tip tweezer, gosh that thing is one of my prized possessions.

5. My visual concepts teacher. He is so brilliant and Im thankful to have him as my maestro.

6. MY APPLE computer- without her Id be blogless, musicless and probably vegan (whaaa??)

7. Facebook updates, because where would I be without minute to minute updates about my friends bowel movements and their gossip girl updates?!!

8. The NY POST delivery man, who delivers, when I can reach it- my daily dose of SUDOKU and NY smut.

9. TRUE BLOOD, my most favorite show in the whole wide world. Ill miss you.. July, season 2!!

10. For added extra celebrity gossip and witty humor.

Theres tons more but I just took a tylenol PM and im fading... So...

Gobble Gobble.

ALMOST..

Ever get so close to getting something, you can just taste it? Only to have it disappear before your very eyes? Yeah? Well, welcome to the STORY OF MY LIFE, and Im not talking about the last cupcake on the dessert table either.. Im going to turn my taste buds off for a while though, they need to be reset.

I will say, that over the last few weeks, my eyes have been opened up to so many different kinds of lifestyles and situations leaving me thankful for all of these experiences. I find that as I get older, I am more open to learning and listening and in doing so, its proving to be so very rewarding.

ANYWHOO.

The weather here has been killing me lately. So freaking cold. My fingers feel like they are ready to snap off at any given moment. But, they're polished so- thats good. BTW, I got a manicure at this place DASHING DIVA. Heavenly!! They scrubbed my hands with this almond scrub that worked wonders on my skin. My hands were softer than a babies ass after the whole process. They also put these aromatherapy peppermint drops in the water that kinda grossed me out, only because Im not into that stuff. For the rest of the day, I smelled like I took a bath in every free sample at THE BODY SHOPPE. Whatever, all in all it was a great manicure. Perfect red nails make me happy.

Im making Thanksgiving dinner by me this year and Im so excited about it. I pretty much have my menu narrowed down to perfection. Should be a nice night. I love the whole Thanksgiving day breakdown. Everyone basically sits around waiting til 4 to devour a bird and pack in enough food to pass out within 3-4 hours max. Its quite adorable. THEN, the brave men/women still standing attempt to catch a movie and go as far as looking up the show times, but never actually venture out of the house. Good lazy times. Gobble Gobble. I think Im going to have old records playing in the background over dinner then afterwards have a little arts and crafts station set up on the floor for anyone who wants to get down and dirty. Thanksgiving inspired art, of course. Feathers, fringes, beads... Ooh Im getting so excited. Wanna come?

I really should not be home blogging right now, I have a million things to do. Oh, Im loving the Christmas songs back in rotation on the radio. Hold that thought, Im going to post a list of my favorite CM songs next post. Try not to die in anticipation.. K? I am dying to cover SILENT NIGHT though. Anyone wanna do it with me? A major plus if you can play decent gee tar.

Loving this song, nothing new, CHILDREN by DELTA SPIRIT - I listen to it a good 4 times a day.

TO THE BONE

Hello lovers and haters.

List time-

1. Ive bitten my nails down to the core. Low and painful and I feel miserable about it. Yes, Ive been stressed, sad, messed up and glad.

2. Im gutted over the EX LIST being cancelled. Terrible, tremendous loss. While we are on it, rumor has it LIPSTICK JUNGLE is on its way out too. Goodbye to cheesy girl sitcoms. Hello reality overload.

Better late than never, thank gd I cosmically stumbled upon the opportunity an hr before closing time. Some things are meant to be, I hope. Fingers crossed.

7. I have a crush on a boy in my class. Hes so cute and he wears SURFACE TO AIR sweaters. Adorable. He does not have a crush on me so lets keep that between us, okay?

8. The parking lot attendant, on the other hand.... might like me, hes finally over S.

9. My fingers hurt when I type because my nails are s short. Ew, I am gross.

10. My red string is still holding strong tied to my right wrist. I hope I get my wish. I really do.

11. Ive been back in uke mode. Been playing CALIFORNIA STARS on it. I stink but will not throw in the towel.

K, thanks.

I must get a manicure tomorrow. I need to end this madness. I am gross.

SAY WHA??

Ive been thinking about how much I wish I had a stenographer with me all the time. People wouldnt believe the kinds of conversations I get into on a daily basis. Some really deep and some really dumb ones. The dumb ones are most entertaining.

Yesterday I got into a heated debate about the best bottled water on the market. You know, the kind that comes from MAINE, ie OUR TOILET BOWLS??

them- "you know which one is the best?"

me- "poland spring, hands down"

them- "omg, no! absolutely not!"

me- "ugh tell me YOU are NOT referring to EVIAN??!!! ewwww BARF. That stuff is so gross."

them- "what?? how could you say that?? I love EVIAN, its THE BEST!!""

me- "ugh, because its from the french or swiss alps or whatever??"
"well for starters, it tastes like thick gross hot plastic, it feels like syrup when you chug it and no matter how cold it is, it always feels warm"

them- "I cannot believe what Im hearing"

me- "no, I lied, it tastes like what I would assume licking the whole length of an ice skating rink covered in saran wrap would taste like. Thick, gross and barfy "

them- "hahahha, omg, gross!!! youre soo right"

me- "case closed- want a bottle of water? im thirsty"

SIDE NOTE-

The world of bottled water according to MOI.

The key players-

evian= hot toilet water

aquafina = corporate cold toilet water/ airport signature brand to carry at the magazine shop= propaganda.

dasani= see aquafina with an odd taste of coffee in it, also smells like an airplane, eww.

volvic= even thicker plastic water. commonly found when on vacation and its familiar logo makes you feel somewhat at home, yet is still tastes awful

dannon= a yogurt company, please, spare us with your entrepreneurial h20 side project.

fiji= beautiful picture to look at, taste- eh, its okay.

panna= restaurant rip off water, but not that bad.

smart water= not so smart.

vitamin water= melted popsicle flavored mixed with toilet water.

deer park= so 1992.

saratoga or those blue bottles on restaurant tables= sink water with floaters in it masked by the hue of the blue glass so that you dont see whats really in there.

POLAND SPRINGS- BEST WATER

Go ahead, leave me your hate comments about how spoiled I am and how I should drink tap water and all that other crap. I do drink tap so leave that out. Dont forget to remind me of the episode on 20/20 where they showed that PS was parasite ridden. A little protein never hurt anyone, right??

CALIFORNIA STARS

So my blog stinks lately. I know. I dont know what been wrong with me, but my blogging has definitely weaned off a bit.
I guess its just been a long couple of weeks with some personal stuff going on. I hate getting too personal on here so I will spare my readers the sap.

Ive been bowling a ton lately. The other night I basically kicked ass and bowled a 140. I also beat N 4 times!! N rules at bowling so yes, Im gloating.

Ive also been saying HOLLERRRR a ton lately in the whitest accent possible. I think its becoming borderline annoying. Might need to work on it.

Who wants to make me a CD? I love a personally hand plucked disc with tunes picked out specifically for me. So send it anonymously if you dont want to tell me who you are. Comment me and Ill give you the address to send it to. Sounds creepy, but I dont care. I welcome lurkers, not everyone has to out themselves that theyre reading this thing. Im flattered that people are even reading it all, whoever is left at least..

Im loving the song CALIFORNIA STARS by WILCO. This songs makes me feel really melancholy and sentimental. WILCO taps into my searching side. His voice is raw and soothing and makes me feel calm and mellow. Good for driving too.

Im cutting this post short because-

1. Im feeling sad today.
2. Im going to go see my niece and suck the life out of her tiny body. UGHHHH. Love her. I am obsessed with this baby.

PS-I want to get paid to write. I really do.

Listen to this song and be sad with me.

YES I CAN!!!

I have a love hate relationship with vitamins. Now that its starting to get cold outside, Im back to chugging em. The worst one by far is ECHINACEA and GOLDEN SEAL. Its pretty much vomit in a pill. I guess we all need to ingest some vile stuff though right? Hopefully, I will not get sick. If I do, that bottle goes in the basura.

Not to go back on the election crap but did anyone else find it bothersome that OBAMAS tag line and slogan was YES WE CAN! ??? Correct me if im wrong, but this line was posted all over the place. It became the mantra of his followers. Flags and posters were waved with this profound theory.
NOW.... If you are anywhere within my age group, this line would strike a chord within you. WHY?? Because it was from the NUTTY PROFESSOR!!! Thats right folks-- Professor KLUMP used that line when he couldnt get the nerve up to ask the hot girl out because he was so fat. MHMM, they ripped off an EDDIE MURPHY movie!!! So, when I kept seeing those signs and everyones facebook statuses, all it did was take me back to my childhood. All I could see was THE NUTTY PROFESSORS lip bulging while he was on a date with that chick.

LADIES and GENTLEMAN- Like the nutty professor once said- YES, I CAN!!!

GUESS WHAT??!!! Someone else thought of the same exact thing as I did!!!

Oh Em GEEEEE!!

IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING, GIVE IT AWAY.

CONOR OBERST AND THE MYSTIC VALLEY BAND is back in town this weekend. I didnt get tickets. As shocking as this might sound, I might not even go. Theyre playing terminal 5. I hate huge venues. Call me an elitist if you will, but i just feel so overwhelmed in those places.

I think MICHELLE OBAMAS red getup was so awful the other night. What was she thinking? Her daughter wore red too. Thats fine, but how did whoever dress them not notice how badly they clashed together?? Yikes. If anyone knows anyone on that front, tell them to hire me as their stylist. I will dress that family like no one has ever seen before. Her dress fit her so poorly that it actually hurt my heart. She needs to do some serious thinking.
Their daughters are really adorable, btw.

Im so happy that the election is finally over. I was getting really bored with it. Now we can move on to talking about important stuff like, THE OSCARS, CHRISTMAS VACATION and THE BEST OF THE BEST annual magazine editions. Haha, well not really, but ya know..

I just ate a cupcake and I want to barf. Barfing is gross though. So ill just have to let it sit and rot in my stomach.

I saw CHANGELING this week with my mom and sis. ANGELINA JOLIE is stunning, obvs. The movie was really heavy. I love heavy intense films, especially the ones that get me thinking and leave me thinking for a few days afterwards; but this one left me feeling really unsettled in a bothersome way. So my opinion of it is- Eh.

HE SAID- SHE SAID

How freaking nice was it outside today? I love when its warmer out. Makes me smile.
I told a gay friend about my "gay" story and he laughed in my face and said that im the most un-homophobic person he knows and that as a matter of fact, I am a 'fag hag." KISS MY ASS dude from the other night.

I went to ANGELIKAS KITCHEN today with J after school. He always drags me to these vegan places that view carob chips as if they were g-ds gift to the world. I mean seriously now. I was starving and had to order some cardboard stuffed with a fake omelet, while he licks his fingers in glee. Forgive me, but seitan wedges dont rock my world. Never have- never will. Our sweetheart waiter came to take our order, I ordered my fake lunch and then asked for a diet coke. "Sorry, we dont have soda" "WHAT?" I say? Oh its not healthy, how dare I even think of drinking something with taste. "So go get one from the news stand on the corner" he says, "Ya know what? I will" I took off and did just that. I came back with it, "Can I just get a glass with ice please?" "Oh, we dont have ice" Okay, is this for real? Welcome to hell, I think to myself, where tempei is for dinner, quinoa is for dessert and L Ron HUBBARD is the mayor. WHATS WRONG WITH ICE? "Oh, they say youre not supposed to drink cold beverages with meals, its not good for you." This place is not good for me. I start to tell our waiter friend, who was the coolest, btw, the G story and he laughs saying that the dude was pretty pathetic. "This restaurant is so freaking gay" I say, we all laugh. We decide that our waiter is our new best friend. He is also in a band. More on that another time. Oh btw, they dont serve coffee either! Mhmm. He loves his job because a simple, "Im sorry, we dont have that" always seems to be the answer. In the end, lunch was actually good, and I like the place. The no soda or ice thing is still cracked if you ask me.

Last night D and I were talking and he was saying that he always wanted to get to know and was happy that we are now friends. "Why?" I ask. "Because im super cool? " Well yeah he says, "Cool in different ways. Say like, I like the BEEGEES and you like DEF LEOPARD" Okay there are no words for how legendary that line was. DEF LEOPARD??? "You know what I mean!!" he says. I really dont but I let it go, because I know what he means.

Guess what? Im rocking a red string on my wrist from Israel, thanks D. "Its the real deal, not like the MADONNA kind" again, wheres the stenographer when I need one?? I have a severe sensory issue, which means that when I got outta the shower this morning, the wet red string was bothering me to death. Thank g it dried in under an hour. EXHALE.

Yes, I have a crush on my older teacher. He loved my abstract painting. So cute.

I havent posted music in a while, because Ive been listening to a lot of older stuff. Like for instance,
BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB- BABY 81- 666 CONDUCER and all the other amazing tracks of theirs. Ive broken out my SADDLE CREEK 50 ALBUM again. SO yeah thats where im at right now. I wanted to catch the TING TINGS with N, but sadly it didnt work out. Next time.

LISTLESS

I know that Ive been lagging on the blog lately but I just have been busy with stuff.

So heres a list- Send me blogging jous jous and inspire me to write again..

1. I love dried figs. So delish. I love crunching on the millions of seeds inside them. Not the sugar added kind, just regular dried figs.

2. On Friday J and I went for lunch on Smith Street and bought bags of candy. We gave all the little kids candy, it was so feaking cute! The moms loved us because we brought trick or treating to them.

3. I say "thats gay" a lot! Many of my close friends are gay. I say it to them. They laugh. I am in no way homophobic. Last night, however, someone overheard me telling a story about a guy telling me that texting was gay and interjected. HELLOO ass face, whos even talking to you? "Im gay-you have a problem with that?" he says.. No, I answer and stare right at him. Seriously, moron, get a life. He then proceeded to call his friend a "retard" 20 times. Um does anyone else find that to be hypocritical?? For some reason y brain kept on saying to itself- "i have nipples Gregg, can you milk me?" hahaha.

4. Its freezing out tonight. Its so cold that for a millisecond, I considered buying uggs when I took the garbage out in my pajamas. What?? It was a millisecond. My godzilla boots will just have to do.

5. Is everyone ready for REJECTION day? Why do I feel like Tuesday is going to be a super scary day? I feel like we are in danger. That is all I will say,

6. Sometimes when I sit still in total silence, I see things so clearly. I need to do that more often.

7. Holler to my friends who ran the marathon today!!

8. Unholler to my newspaper delivery boy who keeps throwing my newspaper into the tree. How the heck am I supposed to read it, if I cant freaking reach it??!! Im going to hit him one day.

20 BELOW

Its freaking freezing outside. Painfully cold. Like I cant feel my hands cold. Like when youre walking with your friends, you run ahead into the store or restaurant because its all a matter of every man for himself cold.

I got an 80 on my drafting test. Yup the one I cried about it. I already wrote that didnt I?

So far this week has been great. Cant wait for tomorrow night. I decided that im going to be a hot vampiress, due to my current obsession with, yup, you guessed it, TRUE BLOOD. I also spent wayyy too much on my costume. T and I had a blast shopping for them so whatevs.

Did I mention that I bowled a 130 a few days ago. Yep. (B)ite me. Haha, weird, vampire. So unintentional.

I overheard two people talking today about the new "speedball" Apparently its the mix of RED BULL and HENNESSEY. Sounds gross. I had red bull for the first time in a while the other night. Oddly enough, that was when I bowled the 130.

I hope I dont get sick. This weather blows. People seem to be coughing all over me wherever I go the last few days. Yesterday at the bank this dude was coughing all over me. I kept having to control myself from screaming at him to please keep his SARS to himself. Gosh, cover your mouth- man! Instead I gave him a bit of stink eye and moved over.

What is it about winter that brings out everyones poor manners? People sneezing in the air, picking their noses, wiping their noses with their hands, slurping snot in, phlegmy coughs without covering mouths...so freaking gross. Get a freaking tissue man. Cover your mouth or stay home dammit!!!

DELTA PHI KAPPA

So the last few days have been interesting. I cant really write too much about them though. What I can say is that life is funny sometimes and takes some unexpected turns. Hows that for vague? Also, I had a this life altering epiphany the other night too. Im seriously going to try to be a better person from now on. I can give more of myself and I want to. Our stay on this planet is short, why not take advantage and be the best we can be? Sappy, I know.

Btw, Im obsessed with the show THE EX LIST. Its hilarious, check it out. No, you dont need cable. Its about a girl in her early thirties trying to find her future husband after getting her palm read and hearing that she was going to marry someone that she was already in a relationship with. AKA one of her ex-boyfriends. Just watch it.

What else, what else?? DELTA SPIRIT is playing tonight. Im so excited! If you dont know them, check em out. Their new album is really great and their old one is even better. MATT VASQUEZ's voice is beautiful and KELLY WINRICH can play a piano . The whole band is actually EXTREMELY amazing and very good looking ;) Theyre based out of SAN DIEGO and their sound is sort of like Indie rock meets Bluegrassy country. My friend P from Costa Mesa turned me on to these guys, his friends, 2 years ago and Ive been hooked ever since. People compare them to the COLD WAR KIDS, oddly enough, those are their boys. I happen to think they kinda stand on their own plane. Theres a deep southern influence in their sound with a significant amount of soul too. Their lyrics make me think, and I love that. Theyre hopeful, real and grounding yet not sad. They use a ton of instruments like the CWK- trash can lids, tambourines etc.. Speaking of trash cans, check out TRASHCAN off of the ODE TO SUNSHINE. PEOPLE CMON is great too. Just get the album OKAY??? My real favorites though are GIMME SOME MOTIVATION and STREETWALKER off of their older album called I THINK IVE FOUND IT. I think ive actually blogged about these dudes before. Their whole inner circle of bands rule. AA BONDY, COLD WAR KIDS, DR. DOG.... Refreshing bands in a not so refreshing music scene lately. Is it me or is everything starting to sound the same? Get on these guys.

C M GAY

So this week is CMJ over here. It just means that its a music marathon of shows and new bands showcasing their acts hoping to be discovered as the "next big thing". Its a tad pretentious if you ask me. Every dork and their nerdy friend comes out flashing their badges. NY is always a place to catch great tunes. We dont need festivals to mark that fact. But hey, im not complaining. Im just bitter that my pass fell through. Truth be told- you dont really need a badge all the time, just a smile ;)

Last night I met up with MM whom I havent seen in ages!! It was so great to hang with him again. I met him at MERCURY LOUNGE and he was with his friend C, who was super cool and funny. I caught the tail end of TABACO an electronic band that plays along to a projector screen of odd images including animation and RICHARD SIMMONS classes. Hi is sweatin to the oldies there??!! I liked them. They sounded a bit like HOT CHIP and RATATAT with a fresh new zest. This was just the prelude to an amazing set by FUJIYA MYAGI. I love these guys. I saw them a couple of years ago when I saw PETER BJORN AND JOHN play at WEBSTER HALL. Last night they were off the charts amazing. I highly recommend them if your an electronic dance fan. They remind me of KRAFTWERK and !!!, two other really great bands. Check out their song ANKLE INJURIES, its super trancelike. They say their name forty times over during the track. Its genius. I think that every band should have a self titled song or at least a shout out style song. Just sayin.. KNICKERBOCKER is the hottest track on the new album titled LIGHT BULBS. Seeing it live was a treat for sure. The words vanilla, strawberry and knickerbocker glory never sounded sexier. YUMMM. Sorry peeps, youre going to need to bounce for both albums, the earlier one called TRANSPARENT THINGS. BLASTTTTT this SH*T!!!

TWITTER BEE

I caved in and joined twitter again. Why? I dont know, I guess I dont have enough applications and distractions on my blackberry as it is... Ill show you mine if you show me yours, maybe. Glorified stalking at its best.

My niece is probably the cutest creature to hit this planet. She is so tiny and she looks like a little GLO-WORM. Remember that toy. It was my favorite growing up along with LITE BRITE and GARBAGE PAIL KIDS. I dont know what im going to do with this little love bug. I just want to eat her up and suck the life out of her. My little snoopy loopy.

LOOK AT THIS!!

UGHHHH I CANT STAND IT!!

Things that im OBSESSED with as of late.

1. TRUE BLOOD, its becoming a problem. A big one. You must watch this show. If you dont have HBO, make a friend and use them just to watch this show.

2. Mylar paper for drawing.

3. HALLOWEEN and telling people what their costume should be.

4. My perfect red manicure.

PASSED??

So umm, oddly enough, in class today, my teacher said that no one failed the test. I do not know how that is possible. I was dreading this AM because I was going to get the lowest mark in the class and thats kinda horrifying. She must really like me because im telling you, theres NO WAY. She mustve found points for me, maybe in my name? My lines? We get it back next week. Bleh.

Wow, im starving to death right now. My stomach is eating itself. I can feel it. GROSS.

This past weekend officially marked the end of my birthday week. Went out with a bang and a bowl. Literally went bowling, figuratively, a bang. Wait, you know what I mean. Whatevs. Saturday night was a lot of fun, but do you really care who I went with and what I did? I didnt think so.. I got another really sweet mix CD in a super cute parcel. I love when gifts are custom made for me. It shows that a lot of care and effort went into them and those are the ones that I enjoy most. I realized this today while I was driving to school. Too bad it took me this long to figure it out. Thoughtfulness means the world to me. E-M-O.

What else, what else..

Loved this song this weekend. A lil something different for yall. I love country music, did you guys know that? Well, if you didnt, now you do. Heres an easy one. Maybe ill start a weekly country music song post. Broaden our horizons, yes? Knowing me ill flake though.

DAY OF BIRTH

Today is officially my birthday. Luckily though, I was blessed with multiple birthday celebrations technically making it my birthday week. But alas, the day is here. Last night I went with N, G, D and W to the PAPER MAGAZINE and ACNE JEANS party. It was at the NY PUBLIC LIBRARY which was beautiful, btw. N and I share the same birthday which is amazingly random. My best friend has the same birthday as me. Hi, is how freaking cool is that there?Afterwards we went for dinner downtown to N's favorite restaurant, and went back to BK to help G find her lost passport bec she was traveling early this AM (holy run on sentence)
I know, I know- not our best. Hats courtesy of G and D.

Our car service driver rang in our birthday with all of us while we were on the WB bridge. He started honking and screaming with us at 12 on the dot. So adorable..

When we got to G's studio, I decided that I was going to hypnotize everyone. We put on IRON and WINE, while we laid on the floor and I worked my magic. Nothing really happened but we were all super chill for 2 minutes till N started playing with her BB. She got bored, I guess. W said the best line was "you look up into the sky to find the bluest sky with scattered soft, white, plush pillowy clouds" Ooh that was good, wasnt it?

Went for lunch with my mom, sister and sis in law downtown today. It was so nice. We sat outside and drank some wine and took some cute pics.

Thats my sister stuck on a fence.

OMG, so apparently, my lil birthday wish list from a couple of weeks agohttp://sometimesihavebloggerhea.blogspot.com/2008/09/eeeeee.html has been read and people are sending me gifts!! HOW FREAKING AMAZING IS THAT???
C sent me an anonymous package of JESUS SAVES hologram guitar pics with no note. At first I was so confused and really scared. Who the heck would send me JESUS picks and how did they have my address? Why was there no letter or note with it? Then I remembered how I had blogged about wanting picks and got even more scared. Suddenly it dawned on me.. Theres only one person I could think of that would do this.. I bbmed C, asking if he sent me a lil something in the mail, he said that he did. I reminded him that I was jewish, his answer, "I know, I thought it would be funny, I had your address saved on my EBAY account from the last time I sent you something" Well, funny it was, super intense too.

Yesterday I had lunch with S.. We were long overdue. She wrote me the sweetest card and gave me a box wrapped in gold paper.. "I read your blog, I know you wanted one.. its your favorite color too!" An ORANGE nano!! How cute is she?

Ugh, I have the bestest friends and family in the whole wide world. Tonight Im staying in with the fam. Lord knows what tomorrow night brings. This was definitely one of my most favorite birthdays if not the best one to date.

CHEERS!!

(A bit overdue, due to my lagging on uploading pictures)

This past saturday night was insanely fun. Like chart topping fun. Tan put together a dinner thingy for my early birthday at Gemma. Everyone was in an awesome mood and they were raring to get wasted. So thats exactly what we did.

Highlights of the evening included:

1. Three rounds of 40 shots on trays.

2. Me telling 6 complete strangers about my blog.
3. T almost getting into a crazy fist fight with a girl at Mr. West.
4. A taking us on a joyride en route to Mr. West.

5. S bumping into her X randomly in the middle of nowhere trying to hail our cab.
6. D bumming a cig from the doorman at LOTUS when we happened to walk by. Who knew LOTUS was still around?

7. A bunch of things I cant write about.

8. Dee needing to go home early because she was, ya know. Wastedierto.

9. Me dancing with a dude with dreadlocks at MW, classy.

10. D convincing us to come over and trek all the way uptown when we were right by the tunnel in our retarded state of mind just to eat microwave popcorn and play pac man.

11. A marriage proposal from a small black man in a 3 piece suit on the street handing out flags.

12. Us taking a cab to Kiss & Fly and never actually walking in because we, "forgot"

And of course, no raging night is complete without an intimate sitting on the sidewalk session.

And my mother wants to know why my little sister (above) never wants to go out with people her age anymore...

HA!

Snacks on the way home included, Ice Cream that D kept dropping on A's arm and licking it off, Pizza, Donuts and Microwave popcorn.

Hangover lunch consisted of wine, bread and grilled fish. Followed by a continuous searing headache all day long, complete with face book tagged photos courtesy of S by 12PM.

By the way, im going to need to come up with a better name system because there are a million D's in my life.

Ugh, I cant believe Ive posted so many pics. I guess im outed now arent I??

MARCHING BAND

So remember a while ago when I went to the BRIGHT EYES  concert at BB and I told you that MATT was in charge of taking the pictures and stuff? So anyway, that night he was telling me about a friends band. What else is new, people are always telling me about some new band I should check out. So MATT emails me their song and I remember checking out their MYSPACE page and seeing their gig calendar. It listed random streets in the city all over town and odd times. I thought it was so odd.

Fast forward like 2 months, the other night when I went to see THE KILLS in WB. I was walking with some friends afterwards on N6th, and suddenly I see this group of dudes in knit hats, playing crazy instruments and singing at the top of their lungs marching band style. It was the most amazing thing I had seen in a while. Low and behold I take a closer look and MATT is with them-

This is the band he was telling me about. These dudes literally go all over the place spreading their tunes in the street. I screamed his name and we had a 2 second reunion. Anyway, this band is called TOURMALINE. Their sound is alternative meets jazz with a splash of indie rock. Heres their MYSPACE link. Check it out. My favorite track of theirs is AFRAID OF THE SAME.

OMG

I have zero words for this. Just see for yourself. Are these emo/goth chicks SERIOUSLY covering SUFJAN STEVENS - JOHN WAYNE GACY JR?

"

WOW!! This video makes me uber uncomfortable but its covered beautifully.

How do those lip rings not cut her gums up, check out when she sings, oh my g-d.. I was seriously waiting to see blood pour out of her mouth. Did she go to the salon and say, "Hmm, I really like cockatoos, can you make me look like one? "

 Two words. WOW.

PS- thank you hipsterrunoff.com

I CANT EAR YOU..

My ear is killing me. I feel like I am four years old. I totally have an ear infection..

Speaking of medical stuff, is it me or does the show ER, refuse to die? Seriously, WTF??  I used to watch that show over a decade ago. Its just annoying now. JOHN STAMOS is their big cheese?? No sir-ree-bob.

You know those people whose laugh sounds  just like when they type hahaha over IM or text? Yeah? Well my little sisters one of them. Its actually hysterical ha-ha-ha-ha.

I watched that show THE BIGGEST LOSER tonight, and at one point during the temptation challenge, the mother said to the daughter, "so what do you wanna do? eat something?" My mom and I were doubled over in laughter. She was so serious.

I have a nice long post in draft mode, but I wanted to post pictures with it (so scaryy) and ive been lazy to upload them, so... eventually ill get around to it. Maybe.

DUUUDE my ear hurts like helll..

My dad is trying to quit smoking with a hypnotist. Tonight he was telling us that when the dr takes him into "trance" mode, mid mantra, he, the doc, has a coughing fit every time. Is it me or is that cracked? How on earth can one be hypnotized and concentrate while someone is hacking an emphysema cough in their ear?? Thats like a coke head sniffling while teaching a 12 step meeting, no?!

When I was 12, I took out a book from the library, I never returned it. Im still haunted my it. I hope one day when I need to take out a mortgage, it doesnt  come back to bite me in the ass.

Im going to listen to BRIGHT EYES the entire car ride to school. Starting off with WE ARE NOWHERE AND ITS NOW.

JAKE from the mac store, Im having major issues backing up my files, alll over again. GRRR.

BOWL, BAWL, BALL

The other night I went with my mom and my little sister bowling. It had to be one of the cutest nights ever. My little sis started off on fire and then tanked hard core. My mom, was actually pretty good. We had to wait forever and a half for a lane to open up because it was league night. These people were ridiculously good and super good looking, ps! A lot of the guys looked like MY NAME IS EARL. I want to join a bowling league. Sadly, my dream was crushed. I was told that yo u need to be invited.. Screw it, Im making my own team unless B invites me to join his.

Of course our lane was right next to a group of ladies. I dont know what it is- but lesbians love my mom. Shes a total butch magnet. Hilarious. They were cheering her on and what not. My sister and I were dying. I texted D that I was bringing them to the alley so he came to witness the whole thing at the tail end. Next thing you know him and my mom are bonding something hardcore.  When I say bonding, I mean making fun of me. He was bummed after watching the debates. By the way, Ive named nicknamed McCain, McLAME. I just think it has a better ring to it. That guys body language cracks me up. He always has this howdy doody look on his face. Obama- rama - lama- ding- dong, on the other hand, just talks in circles about vague concepts. If you ask me, this election is a mockery. Id vote for Martin Sheen sooner than Id vote for any of these characters.

Did I ever mention that in school, I was president of the student body? Mhmm, thats right. So vote for me.

P to tha S -What's up with Blogger not allowing me to copy and paste form my mac?? APPLE C and APPLE V are a no go.. Anyone out there know why?

ALSO- Im looking for a super smart, super cool, well actually, they dont have to be cool, computer savvy guy to extract things off of my broken sony computers hard drive- i.e.- pictures and tunes. Someone local who will do it in exchange for beer forever, money (nothing nuts), or copping a feel or two, mwahahah. So - lemme know if  any of you know anyone. K??

Todays my moms birthday- us libras RA HUUULE.

Guess whos up for an upgrade with Verizon?? THAT WOULD BE MEEEE.

SOMETHINGS IS NOT RIGHT WITH ME- COLD WAR KIDS. Love it.

FAREWELL MY BLACK BALLOON

I have so many things to say  but no words to write them.

This weekend I saw THE KILLS play in WILLIAMSBURG, loved the music hall, might be my second favorite venue aside from BOWERY BALLROOM obviously. ALISON MOSSHART is the epitome of cool in my eyes. You never get to see her face because her hair is always covering 3/4 of it. She doesnt walk more than 3 feet without her Paliaments in tow on stage. She beats to her own drum and has that Im nice but could really care less what you think vibe going on. Her and JAMIE HINCE ooze with sexiness. Its hard to explain, because their relationship is platonic, but sometimes its so good that its hard to watch. They had to have had a lil something going on at some point. Anyway she coughs up a lung live too, not only on the recordings. Poor girl was sick and kept apologizing for it. HINCE has these moves that are just uber amazing.

Last night I went to OKKERVIL RIVER at WEBSTER HALL. Not my most favorite venue but OR is one of my favorite bands. WILL SHEFF and CO blew me away with their presence onstage. They are one of the rare bands that can transmit the love they have for their songs into the audiences jous jous. AKA- very passionate, emotional and searing. FOR REAL was by far the best song of the night. So raw and intense. LOST COASTLINES was equally amazing. A STONE was chills inducing. You can tell these guys really love working with one another. Each band member had their own moment onstage to solo it out. I like that. BRIAN CASSIDY, his right hand vocalist is just as talented - his voice the second one on LOST COASTLINES and that all too familiar softer voice on the rest of the album. I love when bands play older songs too, thats the way it should be. Enough of this, im only here to promote my new album crap.

SHEFF thanked everyone for coming and was actually vulnerable and sweet when he confessed that he was nervous to play the NEW YORK show but was really enjoying it.. So cute! PS- Hes actually pastier than I am, so pale. His haircut is a tad emo though. Ooh, Im sorry- I still love him. I kinda wanna go again tonight..

Oh, wait, stop the world. I heard a beauty of a rumor about me the other night.. DRUMROLL please... Yeah right, like I would even indulge in anyones meaningless gossip. I just wonder what makes people tick sometimes. Like when someone completely fabricates a load of horsesh*t, do they say, "ooh Im bored, lemme make up a lie about someone I dont even know?"

There is a certain protocol to follow when spreading a rumor.

1. You need to actually KNOW the person.
2. You need to have some sort of factual premise regarding the rumor youre about to contort.
3. You need to be prepared to own up to it when youre busted.
4. You need to at least be my facebook friend- to say the very least.

So dear you know who you are.. NOT COOL. NOT TRUE. I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO this said person is, I wouldnt know him if I fell on him. I dont know you. You dont know me. PS- refer to the list above.

YOU SAY EGGS.. I SAY..

Ive decided that I want to get a dog just so that I can name it OMELET

How awesome is that name for a dog? I'm thinking a PUG or a SHARPE'..

Imagine if it procreated and we named its offspring- CHEESE, MUSHROOM and SPINACH.

Hi, is breakfast there?

Oh, BTW, I don't eat eggs. STRANGE.
